Here's a few photos of some of the operators of my station.  This year was "If I build it, they will come" theme.  My goal was to get a lot of folks on the air.  Some operators this year were veteran hams, some were brand new, and some had never talked on the radio before.

This is a picture of Craig and Kyle.  Craig actually got his ham radio license when he was 10, but has never really had an opportunity to work HF and DX.  Craig is a natural!  It took him no time to get in and talk to Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Columbia, and many ham stations in the US and Canada.  Kyle is a visitor from Wisconsin, and this was his first trip to Texas.  Kyle was thrilled to talk to a few radio stations from his hometown of Madison, WI.  Maybe he will get his Amateur Radio license soon!

This is a picture of one of the kids who visited our Field Day site because of a flyer they received from their school.  His name is Joe, and he's in second grade.  His Mom and Dad are looking over his shoulder, with D.C., AE5Q, helping him with the controls.  Each visitor who wanted to got to make a contact on the air, and log it in the computer.

One of the great things the Williamson County club did this year was to include a small flyer in all the report cards sent home for the end of the school year.  This really generated a lot of traffic at our FD site, and I saw a lot of folks walking around carrying these bright yellow flyers.  I hope we do this again next year.
